Brighton v Sheffield Wednesday 1 Oct 2013

The Seagulls struggled to a 1:1 draw last night at the AMEX.

The first half saw some well controlled passing and play buildup from Brighton but Sheffield went ahead against the flow of play (IMHO) in the last minutes of the first half.

The second half was a disaster with  Leo Ulloa being stretchered off due to a suspected left foot fracture in the opening minutes. Brighton seemed to lack forward momentum with perhaps too careful a build up and  zero finishing power. Sheffield on the other hand maintained an aggressive forward flowing game.  Despite this the Seagulls luckily scored thanks to a 89th minute goal from Keith Andrews.

The real disaster for Brighton fans is the continuing fiasco when exiting the car park at Bennets Field following the game.  Not being totally familiar with procedure there was a distinct lack of marshal activity causing near chaos with cars pushing and shoving to get an advantage in poorly define ques for the single lane exit.

A similar amateur approach was evident in the 1901 club lounge with inexperienced staff giving poor to none existent advise regarding the need to purchase tea/coffee and pies at the bar versus the serving table.

The famous pie was not hot and the crust was hard as nails.

Thanks to CNC for providing tickets for the match much appreciated.

Rant over , thanks that feels better.
