This is a tribute J.D.R Powell. The film is taken from selected scenes of The World at War series (Reckoning). Joe Powell was held as a POW by the Japanese from 1942 to 1945 in Singapore, Java, Timor, Borneo and other Indonesian islands. Like others from this terrible time he rarely spoke of his ordeal.
